 The lipstick I am using is Givenchy Lip Lip Lip! Lipstick in #105 Sunrise Fuschia (rrp: $21.50, available online from www.strawberrynet.com.au). I have had this one for a while…an oldy but a goldy!

Catwalk look numero dos: Tangerine lips at Marnie Skillings:

Next up, we have Napoleon Perdis DeVine Goddess Lipstick in ‘Hara’ (rrp: $33, available from www.adorebeauty.com.au). I absolutely heart this shade- slightly risque but I think it’s great for making a statement. I think the key to a bold lip is to keep your face and hair quite neutral. It’s also good to use a white eyeliner/pencil on the lip before applying a bold colour as you get the best out of the shade by creating a clean base.

 Catwalk look numero tres: Gothic glam lips at Zimmerman:

Thanks to Twilight, Emo has never been so cool! For the above shot, I trialled Twilight Femme Fatale Lip Gloss in ‘Myth’ (rrp: $20, available from David Jones stores). It’s a really deep plum colour and makes quite a statement…hhhmmm not sure this is an everyday look…maybe best for when the bats come out!

Last week, a lovely girly-friend of mine tagged some photos of me on Facestalk, where I was showcasing a serious case of sweaty-skin-syndrome. After a long day spent outdoors at a music-fest, the aussie sunshine had gotten the better of me and the horrid heat had managed to leave me with melting-gelato-make-up-face. Untagged! Thankfully, such horrors may be prevented and there are some saviour products out there that will help you avoid ‘festival face’.
I’ve devised a skin care plan for the next time the heat strikes, so that I can successfully save myself from the greasy groupie look.
 

Rule 1: Start at the ‘bass’!

Rule 2: IZ is the shiz!

I recently discovered amazing IZ (aka Invisible Zinc); the Invisible Staying Powder ($38.00) is a no-colour, translucent setter, which melts into the skin (prefs applied after IZ Tinted Daywear). Rule 3: Great Line-up

My liner of choice would be Innoxa’s Eyeliner pen in ‘Blackest Black’ ($12.95) which works like a felt-tip:  points for practicality! And the best news? You can take it with you for refreshers, as it won’t melt in the heat! www.innoxa.com.au
